- Content you submit: reviews, comments or other material you choose to provide through the Services, where those features are available.
We do not intentionally request sensitive personal information. Please do not send sensitive information unless it is reasonably necessary for us to deal with your request.
How we collect personal information
We may collect personal information:
- directly from you when you browse the store, place an order, create an account, subscribe to marketing, contact us or otherwise provide information;
- automatically through cookies, pixels and similar technologies when you use the Services;
- from Shopify and other service providers that help operate the store, process payments, fulfil orders, deliver products, provide customer support, prevent fraud or analyse use of the Services; and
- from advertising, marketing or social-media partners where those services are enabled and permitted by applicable law.
How we use personal information
We may use personal information to:
- provide, operate and improve the Services;
- process payments and complete purchases, returns, refunds and exchanges;
- produce, pack, ship and deliver orders;
- manage customer accounts, preferences and order history;
- send order confirmations, delivery updates and other service-related communications;
- respond to questions, support requests, complaints and privacy requests;
- detect, investigate and prevent fraud, misuse, security incidents and other unlawful activity;
- understand how the Services are used and improve our website, products and customer experience;
- send marketing communications where you have requested them or where otherwise permitted by law;
- measure and improve marketing or advertising where those tools are enabled; and
- comply with legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations, enforce our terms and protect our rights or the rights of others.
Cookies and similar technologies
We and our service providers, including Shopify, use cookies and similar technologies to operate the store, remember preferences, keep the checkout secure, understand website performance and, where enabled, support analytics and advertising.
Some cookies are necessary for the Services to function. Other cookies may be optional, depending on your location and applicable law. Where a cookie or privacy banner is available, you can use it to manage eligible choices. You can also adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies, although doing so may prevent parts of the Services from working correctly.
How we disclose personal information
We may disclose personal information where reasonably necessary to operate the Services, including to:
- Shopify: which hosts the store, checkout and related ecommerce services;
- fulfilment providers: including Printify, Printful and the print or production partners they use, so products can be produced and orders completed;
- payment providers: to authorise and process payments, refunds and chargebacks;
- shipping and delivery providers: so orders can be delivered and tracked;
- technology and service providers: such as website, cloud-storage, email, customer-support, security, analytics and marketing providers;
- professional advisers and authorities: where reasonably necessary to obtain advice, comply with law, respond to valid legal processes, investigate unlawful conduct or protect rights, property or safety;
- a purchaser or successor: if all or part of the business is sold, transferred, reorganised or otherwise involved in a business transaction; and
- other parties at your direction or with your consent.
Fulfilment and delivery providers receive information such as your name, delivery address, contact details and order contents because they need that information to produce and deliver your order. These providers handle personal information under their own privacy policies and legal obligations.
Shopify
Shopify collects and processes personal information when you access or use the Services. Information submitted through the store is transmitted to Shopify and may also be processed by Shopify's service providers. Shopify may use information about your interactions with this store and other Shopify merchants to provide, secure and improve its services, including features such as Shop and personalised shopping experiences.
You can learn more in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. Requests concerning information processed independently by Shopify can be made through the Shopify Privacy Portal.
Marketing and advertising
If you subscribe to marketing, we may send you promotional emails about products, releases or other store updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in a marketing email. Unsubscribing from marketing will not stop essential communications about your account, orders or customer-service requests.
We do not sell personal information for money. If analytics or advertising tools are enabled, information such as cookie identifiers, device information or website activity may be disclosed to those providers. Some laws may describe particular advertising-related disclosures as "selling", "sharing" or use for "targeted advertising". Where required, you can manage eligible choices through the store's privacy or cookie controls or by contacting us.
International processing
B.I.A Supply Co. is based in Australia, but Shopify, fulfilment providers and other service providers may store or process personal information in other countries. Those countries may include Australia, New Zealand, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and countries in the European Economic Area, depending on the provider involved and where an order is produced or delivered.
Privacy and data-protection laws in those countries may differ from the laws where you live. Where required by applicable law, we or our service providers use recognised safeguards for international transfers.
How long we retain personal information
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. The retention period may depend on whether the information is needed to complete an order, maintain an account, provide support, meet tax or accounting requirements, resolve a dispute, prevent fraud or comply with another legal obligation. When information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it, subject to any lawful retention requirements.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse, interference and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We also rely on Shopify and other service providers to maintain security measures for the systems they operate. However, no website, transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live and the laws that apply, you may have the right to:
- request access to personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information;
- request deletion of personal information in certain circumstances;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- receive a portable copy of certain information;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- unsubscribe from marketing communications; and
- make a complaint about how personal information has been handled.
These rights are not absolute and may not apply in every circumstance. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We may also retain information where required or permitted by law, including records needed for tax, accounting, fraud prevention or dispute resolution.
To make a request, email hello@biasupply.co.
Children's privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 without appropriate permission. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.
Third-party websites
The Services may contain links to websites, social-media platforms or other services operated by third parties. Their privacy and security practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security or content of third-party services.
Privacy complaints
If you have a concern or complaint about how we handle personal information, please email us with enough detail for us to understand and investigate the issue. We will acknowledge and respond within a reasonable timeframe and generally aim to respond within 30 days.
